A unique Villa to relax and rejuvenate. Immersed in the beautiful countryside of Martano, the lively town is in the heart of the Puglia, which is a land of magical traditions, where sacred and profane intertwine in a series of exhibitions and events.
Masseria Saracino is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday among the olive trees and the Salento countryside: exclusive swimming pool with solarium, patio with relaxation area, veranda with a table, equipped with a wood oven and barbecue, and many other areas to relax.
From the moment we were warmly greeted by our hosts Tommaso and his wife, who showed us around, we fell in love with the villa. The grounds are extensive and very well maintained and the pool is amazing. There were eight of us staying, all with our own space but getting together in the evening in the wonderful al fresco dining area, which opened out onto the gardens but still under cover. It catered for all our needs and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visting the area. The town we found to be a little too far away to walk too. Tomasso left us some lovely treats and was on hand to give advice and sort any problems. All in all we had a fantastic stay.
We had a wonderful time here. The villa is located in a quiet area and it is easy to drive to lots of different places without it taking a long time - coastal or inland. The pool is lovely and we enjoyed all the space the house has to offer, and the luscious garden. We even fired up the BBQ. The hosts are very welcoming and were there to meet us on arrival and see us off when we left. We were given a map of the region and a book about the various beaches. As we were here just before the summer season had started, some of the beaches were a bit deserted or still needed cleaning up which was a shame but otherwise we enjoyed our day trips to various places and also had some days at the villa relaxing. There are shops a short drive away so it’s easy to get whatever you need. In particular I loved Lecce... it’s a beautiful city and there is plenty to see and do (and buy!) Our hosts generously surprised us a couple of times with delicious cakes and goodies from an Italian bakery. A lovely touch! We hope to come back some day!
